Bag of Hope Project

We help people.

In addition to bringing people together for spiritual growth, another purpose of God’s church is being the “hands” of Christ in the community. That means we make a difference by distributing food to the needy, feeding the hungry, and calling on the homebound.

Sometimes Hope contributes to outside organizations, such as The Salvation Army or shelters for the homeless, because they have effective systems in place that, frankly, do the job better than we could. But the Bag of Hope Project, or BHP, is where we roll up our sleeves and do the work ourselves, and it’s a wonderful ministry at Hope.

BHP is about bringing two groups of people together – those who are needy, and others who can meet their needs – and it’s been a rewarding success. With several major focuses each year, we try to bless a variety of people. Last Christmas we distributed over 200 canvas bags to children who live with their families in motels, each bag full much needed items. Our focus for May is a blood drive, in memory of Carol Olsen. July’s BHP focus is the truly homeless in Anaheim.

To find out how you can get involved in BHP and make a world of difference, contact us via email by writing BHP@HopeCCA.com. Or you can see our current information card by clicking HERE.
